A5 Point to Point

1st weekend in september?? not sure of the date tho.

My old man wants to come on his yammy dragster, he is on about trailoring our bike to milton keynes, then riding up a5 and back,

Apparently a5 is a cracking road so i rekons we stick to that.

What dya'll think of this?

Why don't we do it properly and go all the way to Holyhead just for the fun of it!

yh go all the way to holly head, that is the plan good, ride up camp go round have alook ride home half dead the next day

At 4 Mile Bridge there is little camp site with no real facilities, just a toilet block.

Set up there and then its just 10 minute to the pier at Holyhead on a scoot.

A lot cheaper than being close to the town.

This is sounding awsome, Holly head or bangor ent fussed just as long as I have somewhere to pich my tent and drink some cider!

Im starting to get the impression that you enjoy a nice cold cider jimi!

Ok well if its alright with everyone, im just gonna crack on and organise a date, the planned stops etc -

I was thinking it would be good just to stick to the A5 - as connor suggested, that way we cant get lost!

If anyne has any reccomendations, let me know!

Banbury, Stratford on Avon, Worcester, Leominster, Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Oswestry and then pick up the A5.

A brilliant route with good scenery. Plenty of (reasonably priced) watering holes to stop at.

Plus I understand about the point to point A5 being the run.

I just figured that as some of the guys are travelling from the west if those coming from the east went the way I suggested I was only thinking about keeping their mileage down and there are plenty of handy meeting places for all.
That way the A5 is still covered.

I like fleece's idea. I'm sure we'd manage to get lost following the A5 anyway Gaz!

I had never been to Stroud before, but needed to know where the train station was incase i have to make a run for it one day! you never know!

So what are people thinking regarding route?
