Ok has ANY1 any experiance of chinese scooters or bikes, looking at the tommy 125 2nd hand,
Gonna do an auto chop/rat type thing if I can pick 1 up for cheep cheep dollar!

some do have good parts back up what ive seen and i supose they are getting more reliable, my 50cc baotain never really let me down except the shit quality sparkplug cap falling to peices lol

want a 125 tommy 2 turn into an auto chop,need 2 o it on a tite budget and it's got the rite handle bar a head light set up other wise i wud be interested.

I wouldnt touch a chineese scooter at all - but thats just my opinion - on the other hand, because of everyone buying a cheap brand new chineese scoot, theres LOADS of decent second hand scooters nowadays!
Why dont you look at the Aprilia Habana or similar!

Have got my eye on a few, want one with f'ckd panels for bout 200 quid.

I remember now, look out for a Habana and the Aprilia Mojito!
I'll ask around for a cheap Habana as theres quite a few in MK
If it means anything to ya, i have ridden a Tommy, and theyre 'ok'
Expect the chrome to peel off and the exhaust to rust in 3 months, but if your stripping it down im sure you aint bothered!

Thats the look i'm goin for, want to put in a centre tank, drop the seat level put in 2 bobber seats and fabricate a front and rear mudguard.
dubious about the tommy but may be the cheeper option.

I'll make some calls tomorrow. Keep an eye out for a Habana frame as i might be able to get hold of an engine!

Found a frame on ebay but nothin else, . Building a bike from scratch may be slightly out of my expertise!

Tbh boatian engines have been on the UK market for 6 years now so parts backup is good & local parts suppliers are on the rise
