Welcome to the club mate, make sure you introduce yourself..

North Run - would love to do it, but its a bit of a ride up to Barnsley on the A roads!

But would be up for it if others fancy riding with me!!!

Where does it start/end?

this is the plan so far
The North Run, now in its third year, has evolved from a mass scooter ride to the coast to a festival style event involving camping and entertainment at a new destination in the Yorkshire countryside.

Given the rising popularity of the event..., the congestion in Scarborough, not to mention the hold-ups on the A64 to contend with, The North Run needed room to expand so we thought we’d try something a little bit different in 2011. So this year’s North Run will see riders head out on a whistle stop tour of West and South Yorkshire starting at the usual meeting place – Adrenalin Pedstop HQ in Carlton, Barnsley. A true North Run in every sense, proposed stop-off points include Barnsley, Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster, Pontefract, Castleford, Leeds and Wakefield before heading out to Ackworth near Pontefract where riders can relax and unwind in the open countryside. Proposed attractions include trophies for best custom scoots, a grass track kickstart style competition, a bucking bronco (so you can laugh at your mates), a DJ and a surprise spectacle to liven things up a bit…

Catering vans serving food and refreshments will be present on site as well as toilet facilities. A van will be provided for riders wanting to offload camping gear so as not to be too laden down during the ride. Riders may join The North Run at different meeting points during the rideout, full details of the route to follow. The event is free to attend and all riders are welcome, the more the merrier.

If you only go on one rideout this year, don’t miss out on this one!

The North Run 2011 starts at 9am on Saturday 23 July at Adrenalin Pedstop, Unit 1, Longfields Court, Middlewoods Way, Wharncliffe Business Park, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S71 3HR

cl4rkie52, if you're going from Worcs, it's probably about the same distance for me. I'll have to think about this one.

Oh and Gaz, can I be a club member instead of a noob? Ta Smile

Definitely think we could upset a few northerners with our hoodies and would be good to support the northern scene so yeah this sounds like a plan!

Ranking scheme is in place, will post info on FORUM RULES, 10 posts and your club member!

(your already club member but to be (website) club member 10 posts are needed)

i aint riding there did it once took a long time on a speedy 100, i go in the van and then do the run which takes all day anyway then put the scoot back in the van for the trip home, but still there a lot of us going from evesham worcester and cheltnam so if some of them are riding on 50s and 70s i might do whole run just so they all get there ok as most of them are 16 17 year old,
i aint a club member as i work 6 days a week and spend sunday with my kids, its a shame i dont get more time off to go to few more local meets, i do see some scoots come past my house on sundays vespas dragsters lammys ect Crying or Very sad

My 70 managed 220 miles in a day no problem, 65mph solid. It certainly held up better than me Smile

That's pretty darn good for a 70!!!! But sounds like your up for a long ride, so if you can do it, I'm sure my 125 can do it!!!

I'm on this like a tramp on chips! Nathan twisted my arm really but as long as he's still going and fancies a ride up along with anyone else his way then I'll definitely be out! Smile
